How do I know if my application is successful?
Once you apply you will receive a confirmation text message and email. After this you will be contacted and called for interview. Your application will be assessed at interview and you will then know if you are successful.

Are all courses full time?
Yes, all run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00 am to 1.15 pm Fridays.
What is the age/entry requirement?
Leaving Certificate or equivalent, or by interview for mature students (over 23 years).
Whar are the fees?
Registration fee for 21/22 is €100 (non-refundable*).
There is a Government Levy of €200 (not payable for medical card owners and if you receive a SUSI or BTE grant).
Some courses require additional fees for class materials.

Are the fees refundable?
Refund of Government levy of €200 by proof of exemption up until 28th September 2021 or if you quit the course early.
*In the event of a course being cancelled all fees are refunded.
Can I get a grant for a course in Longford College and how do I apply?

Can I go to college from a course in Longford College?
All our courses are recognized by the CAO for entry into third level colleges. Level 6 certificate offers progression to year 2 of a degree.

I have a letter from social welfare/medical card which needs stamping, what do I do?
Bring it to college reception for stamping.
What qualifications do I get from the Beauty Therapy course?
On successful completion of the course you will receive CIBTAC (The Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology) ITEC (International Therapy Examination Council) QQI Level 5 Work Experience, QQI Level 6 Indian Head Massage 6N3477 & QQI Level 6 Electrical Epilation 6N3475.
Is there kits for the beauty therapy course and how much are they?
Kit fees will vary slightly each year an approximate cost for year 1 is €960 and €580 for year 2.
All course and kit fees must be paid before commencement of the course.
Do I have to wear a uniform in Beauty Therapy?
Yes, full uniform must be worn every day . Details of this are given at interview.
